Bungee jumping over Victoria Falls in Africa, touching the cool marble of the Taj Mahal in India and gazing over the countryside from the Great Wall of China: These were some of the dreams burning a hole in Shari Holloway's bucket list.

In December, the 51-year-old Ventura County environmental health specialist decided to go for it. She took six months off work and trekked across several countries, finally chasing some of the adventures she had dreamed about.
